1. Who we are
RuthGear ("we", "us", "our") operates ruthgear.com, an online store for crimp tools and application tooling, located at 401 Ocean Ave, Suite 201A, Melbourne Beach, FL 32951. Our store is hosted on Shopify.

4. Who we share information with
We share information only as needed to run our business:
- Shopify, which hosts our store and processes checkout
- Payment processors (such as Shopify Payments and PayPal)
- Shipping carriers and our suppliers (UPS, FedEx, USPS, and distributors that ship tools directly to you), who receive your name, address and phone number to deliver your order
- Email and analytics services that help us communicate and understand site usage
- Authorities, when required by law or to protect our rights
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioural advertising without your consent.
5. Cookies
We use cookies to keep your cart, remember preferences, secure checkout and understand site traffic. You can manage cookies through your browser and through the cookie banner where shown. Blocking some cookies may affect store features.
6. Data retention
We keep order and tax records for as long as required by law (generally up to 7 years). Tool-matching emails and quotes are kept for up to 3 years so we can support repeat orders. Marketing data is deleted when you unsubscribe and ask for deletion.
7. Security
We use Shopify's secure, encrypted checkout and limit access to personal information to people who need it to serve you. No method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure, but we take reasonable measures to protect your data.
8. Your rights and choices
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:
- Access the personal information we hold about you
- Correct inaccurate information
- Delete your information, subject to legal record-keeping requirements
- Opt out of marketing emails at any time
- Opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information (we do not sell it)
To make a request, email admin@ruthgear.com with the subject "Privacy Request". We respond within 30 days and may ask you to verify your identity. We will not discriminate against you for exercising your rights.
9. California and other U.S. state residents
Residents of California and other states with privacy laws have the rights listed in Section 8. You can also use the "Your Privacy Choices" link in our footer.
10. Children
Our store is intended for adults and businesses. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13.
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy. The effective date and policy ID at the top will change, and significant changes will be highlighted on this page.
