1. Genuine-Product Guarantee
We sell only new, genuine tools sourced through manufacturer distribution channels. We do not sell used, refurbished, "compatible" or look-alike tools. If a tool you receive from us is not genuine, we refund the full order including all shipping.
2. Part-Number Guarantee
The manufacturer part number on the product page is exactly what we ship. If the part number on the tool or its label differs from your order, we send the correct tool and a prepaid return label at no cost.
3. Tool-Match Promise
Send us your terminal or contact part number and wire gauge before you order, and we will confirm the matching tool. If our recommendation turns out to be wrong for the part numbers you supplied, we exchange the tool and pay shipping both ways, even if you have made test crimps.
4. Arrival Guarantee
If a tool arrives damaged or does not operate as specified out of the box, tell us within 30 days of delivery (7 days for shipping damage). We replace it or refund it in full, including shipping.
5. Manufacturer Warranty
Tools are covered by the manufacturer's warranty against defects in materials and workmanship, according to the terms of each manufacturer. Coverage and duration vary by brand and tool family and are listed in the manufacturer's documentation.
To make a warranty claim, email admin@ruthgear.com with your order number, the tool part number, a description of the problem and photos. We submit the claim to the manufacturer and keep you updated until it is resolved.
6. What warranties do not cover
- Normal wear of dies, locators and springs from use
- Use with terminals, contacts or wire sizes not specified for the tool
- Damage from dropping, modification, improper adjustment or lack of maintenance
- Calibration drift over time. Production users should verify crimp height and pull force regularly according to the manufacturer's specification
7. Care tips to make your tool last
- Use the tool only with its specified terminal family and AWG range
- Keep dies clean and free of plating debris; wipe after use
- Lightly oil pivot points as recommended in the tool manual
- Store the tool closed in a dry place
- Do not force the ratchet or try to crimp two terminals at once
